Sharing Management System

Sharing Management Strategy

HL D&I Halla practices sharing management based on the core value of coexistence through consideration and communication. Based on this philosophy, the Company carries out a wide range of social contribution activities and fulfills its corporate social responsibility.

Sharing Management Philosophy

Under the vision of “A World of Collaboration,” HL D&I Halla seeks to create a balance between corporate value and social value. Through the active participation of employees and communication with stakeholders, the Company contributes to the global agenda and pursues meaningful sharing activities that support the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sharing Management Strategy

Mid- to Long-term Sharing Management Goals

HL D&I Halla has established a mid- to long-term roadmap to continuously expand employee volunteer activities. The Company sets the converted value of volunteer activities, total volunteer hours, and number of participants as key performance indicators (KPIs), and quantitatively measures and manages its annual performance. In 2025, employees recorded a total of 743 volunteer hours, exceeding the initial target of 500 hours.

Community Risk Management

Given the characteristics of the construction industry, HL D&I Halla proactively identifies and manages various environmental and social risks that may affect local communities throughout the course of its business activities. Before and during project execution, the Company conducts environmental impact assessments and site-specific risk-factor inspections to identify actual and potential adverse impacts, including traffic congestion, noise and vibration, fugitive dust, changes to the landscape, impacts on ecosystems, and impacts on residents’ living environments. The Company reviews the likelihood and magnitude of identified risks and establishes and implements mitigation measures for each site. Key measures include managing construction vehicle routes and operating hours, operating wheel-washing and dust-control facilities, installing noise- and vibration-reduction facilities, and creating alternative habitats and ecological corridors to protect ecosystems. HL D&I Halla also collects opinions and grievances through communication channels with local residents and continuously reviews the results of its measures to minimize adverse impacts on local communities. In addition, the Company carries out community-based activities near its headquarters and major project sites, including housing improvements, support for vulnerable groups, and biodiversity education, thereby strengthening the foundation for coexistence with local communities.

Housing Environment Improvement Activities

HL D&I Halla is carrying out housing environment improvement projects in phases by leveraging its construction expertise to ensure housing safety for vulnerable groups in local communities and address welfare blind spots related to housing. As part of the first round of activities in 2025, the Company implemented tailored environmental improvements for at-risk households in Wonju. For a young household receiving basic livelihood assistance whose living conditions had deteriorated due to a storage hoarding disorder, the Company supported a large-scale cleanup and waste disposal to create a clean residential space. For an aging house occupied by an elderly person with dementia, the Company completely replaced the wallpaper and flooring, thereby strengthening residential safety even under climate-crisis conditions such as the rainy season. During the second round of activities, the Company implemented an industry-academia cooperation model by combining Halla University’s academic expertise with corporate resources. Together with Hanvit-teo, a volunteer club in Halla University’s Department of Architecture, the Company carried out exterior beautification and outdoor circulation-route improvements for three vulnerable households in the Munmak-eup area selected by Wonju Catholic Social Welfare Center. Employees and students replaced moldy and worn wallpaper and carefully repaired deteriorated housing facilities, providing residents with comfortable and safe homes. Beyond simple housing repairs, the initiative served as a meaningful opportunity to translate the value of industry-academia cooperation into community sharing. It improved practical housing welfare, strengthened a sense of community, and provided participating students with experience in creating social value through the practical application of their professional capabilities.

Comments from Hanvit-teo Volunteers

Through participating in volunteer activities each year, I became familiar with tools and skills that I rarely use in everyday life. I was especially proud that I gradually improved and was able to complete tasks more neatly. I hope to share what I learned through volunteering with junior students so that they can grow and pass this positive culture on to the next generation.

I was very happy to learn new skills, including painting, faucet replacement, drilling, hammering, and plastering, and to use those skills for a meaningful cause.

By experiencing firsthand what I had only read about in books, I was able to understand it more deeply. Although the results were not perfect because it was my first time doing construction volunteer work, the elderly residents were very pleased and grateful, which gave me great encouragement. It was also a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of volunteering.

IMAGINE TOGETHER

Halla University ESG Idea Contest

Following the signing of a business agreement with Halla University in September 2024 to strengthen ESG activities, HL D&I Halla has continued to hold an annual ESG Idea Contest for university students. A total of 85 teams of Halla University students participated in the contest held in October 2025, proposing practical ideas across the environmental, social, and governance areas. To ensure professional evaluation, practitioners from relevant departments at HL D&I Halla conducted a preliminary review. Five employees also participated as judges in the final presentation review, carefully assessing the practical feasibility and social impact of each idea. Following a rigorous review process, 11 teams were selected for awards. In particular, the HAI Medicare team received the Grand Prize for proposing a smart medical-assistance AI platform designed to secure essential medical services, presenting a technological solution to social challenges. The contest served not only as a valuable opportunity to raise students’ ESG awareness, but also confirmed the business potential of connecting young people’s creative ideas with actual corporate activities. HL D&I Halla will continue to expand the ESG management foundation through sustained communication with local talent and jointly explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Halla University On-site Construction Program

To foster future construction professionals and enhance university students’ practical knowledge in their majors, HL D&I Halla operated an on-site construction program for Halla University students in 2025. The program was conducted at two sites: the Daeyul–Jeungpyeong IC Road Expansion Project in the infrastructure sector and the Yongin Geum-eo District site in the architectural sector. A total of 42 students from the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban Infrastructure Engineering participated, with 29 students assigned to the architectural site. Project managers and site personnel in each sector shared practical work processes with students and conducted Q&A sessions, helping participants deepen their understanding of actual construction sites. In particular, students from the Department of Urban Infrastructure Engineering held their own idea competition based on the site visit, thereby enhancing the educational value of the program.

Support for Children from Vulnerable Groups

HL D&I Halla continuously supports diverse cultural-experience activities so that children and adolescents in local communities can grow into healthy members of society. In particular, the Company works with local children’s centers to provide children with limited access to cultural activities with diverse programs, including travel and amusement park outings, thereby supporting emotional stability and fostering social connectedness. In 2025, the Company operated an amusement park experiential-learning program for vulnerable children residing in Siheung. The initiative provided children with limited cultural opportunities with new experiences and enjoyment while creating opportunities to communicate and interact with their peers.

GREEN TOGETHER

Community Education on Endangered Biodiversity

HL D&I Halla operates environmental education programs to respond to ecosystem crises caused by climate change and raise community awareness of biodiversity conservation. As part of these efforts, in 2025 the Company provided endangered wildlife conservation education to elderly residents in Wonju, sharing the importance of ecosystem protection. The program was designed as a participatory experience using experiential kits, rather than relying solely on lecture-based education, thereby enhancing learning effectiveness. The initiative was particularly meaningful in that practical ESG values were communicated by connecting community educational activities with industry-academia cooperation with Halla University. Enhancing the ecological awareness of local community members is one of HL D&I Halla’s key environmental conservation strategies for building sustainable ecosystems. The Company will continue to strengthen partnerships with relevant institutions and local universities and implement diverse programs to promote ecosystem restoration and the value of biodiversity, thereby fulfilling its environmental responsibility.
